Policies

01.

Westside Pickleball League policies apply to all league players.

02.

Liability waiver required for all players.

03.

SEATAC & Tukwila league players also agree to follow the SEATAC & Tukwila Community Center policies.

Waitlist Policy

We will register waitlist players after registration for a session is full. Waitlist players are not required to pay league fee at the time of registration.

If a registered player withdraws from a session, the league admins will contact the next waitlist player with the same skill level and gender (for men’s and women’s double ladders only) to backfill the open slot. If interested, the waitlist player has 24 hours to pay the league fee.

No Show Policy

PLAYERS agree to playing all games per session. If PLAYER has to miss game day, PLAYER is responsible for securing a SUB, and ensuring SUB attends. If no one shows up to play, regardless of where the fault lies, the PLAYER’S score for the day will be recorded as 0.

League admins will try to find a player for the no-show’s foursome. If needed, other registered players may have to play extra games so we don’t leave 3 players in the foursome stranded.

Registered players with multiple no-shows will be banned from registering for future league sessions for 3 months.

Refund Policy

Refund policy applies when registered players withdraw from a league session.

  • Cancellations received at least 7 days prior to session start date receive a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee.
  • Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to session start date receive a 50% refund.
  • There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 24 hours before session start time.
  • Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis (e.g. illness, injuries, etc.)

Gender Inclusion Policy

We strongly believe that gender identity, expression, and sex variation should never hinder the participation of a player.

Westside Pickleball League strives to create inclusive and welcoming play. Athletes of all gender identities have the choice to participate in the event categories that they feel most closely aligns with their gender identity.

We understand this is a complex topic and welcome any suggestions/feedback for improving our gender inclusion policy for future events.

Contact and Photo Sharing Policy

Players must agree to share their contact information with the league and the league players for the registered session to support the substitute process.

Photos and videos taken may be published on the league website and social media platforms.
